Understanding Human Social Relationships

Understanding sociology provides a foundation for working in today’s diverse social, organizational and business environments. This minor is valuable for just about any career path, including communications, health professions, human resources, criminal justice or business.

 

You can learn to apply the sociological perspective to everyday life and problem-solving. Learn how social institutions shape social behavior and create meaning. These skills are effective when navigating institutions, social and business interactions, cultures and organizations.

 

Required Courses

Plus 9 hours of 3000-level classes or above, of which no more than three hours can come from CRIM. A student must notify the department of her or his intent to minor.
